I am very tired of starting a group battle only to not have someone on my side be at their computer. This is no fun and a fatal flaw in the game (half my losses have come from this).
Solution: At the beginning of every battle, during set-up, each player must click an 'I am here button' (or the like) or the battle is canceled. If someone leaves mid battle so be it but to start one without all players there is silly and very very annoying! I think my solution is very easily programed and will have no negative consequences.
I think this is a great game, but frustration will cause people to stop playing more than any other cause and this is a problem that is very frustrating! |
I am bumping this up because this is really just a good, easy to impliment suggestion that really needs to be done. If all people in a group battle dont in some way show they are 'there' during set up the battle should be canceled.
All it takes is a button during set-up that has to be clicked if they are not making any other changes. It would really make the group battles much better since these battles that end up really lopsided do to an afk would never happen. |
Well, I guess its good, but some people might want to play the battle out regardless, so if implemented, it should be an option for the creator. |
I think it's quite a good idea |
No such button is needed, it just has to check if the player pushed the battle button that is allready there at this moment.
But, what keeps people from joining a game, setting up there army, push the button and leave right after they see what they have to fight. Happend a few times allready, we killed the archers of 1 guy at the start before he could use them... and he went afk, sucks, i agree, but well... that can happen in a game so there is no reason for going afk... but a ready check will not change any thing. |
Serp ur arguement is a straw man since I specifically said that it doesnt prevent afks in my opening post. It doesnt stop people from going afk it stops a battle from starting when they already are afk. this happens often enough that I think it will change something. |
I agree on this one. I wouldn't even bother with an OK button. If the player doesn't hit hit the button to start the battle in the time allowed, or click an army to split or deploy it, his troops should die and the battle be cancelled. |
Yes, this is just absurd I just did a hunt assist and the guy wasnt there. the is no reason I should of to have gone through all that waiting! All they have to do as Serph said and kust make it if everyone doesnt hit the 'im ready' button then the battle is canceled (especially if the player who starts a hunt and asks for assistance isnt there lol). |
