I have found that the NPC caravans are way over powered. Not just by the amount of troops. There has been several times when i have had DE caravan and lost because of the amount of SP and knowledge they have.
I think this should be changed as it is impossible for a DE to get;
6 Attack
5 Defense
13 SP
8 Knowledge
At lvl 8-9, i think this is way overpowered and makes most DE caravans near impossible to beat. I mean seriously how many level 9 DE have you seen walking around that can obliterate 7 hydras in 3 lighting. NONE because they cant get that much SP and the knowledge to go with it.
I could understand if it was 13 SP and 4-5 knowledge but its not. Has anyone ever seen a caravan run out of mana apart from against Enchanted Gargs. |
The way it stands now, the caravans are set to making it difficult for the ambusher to win. I totally agree that sometimes its impossible to win against such caravans due to abnormally high stats.
Perhaps these caravans should be reviewed to find a more balanced game play for thieves who ambush. |
Yeah, i concord with you... I found two de caravans with 24 hydras... and one with 30 liz cavalry and 20 hydras, with 14 spellpower... not to mention necro caravans...
Sometimes they are too harder... and it's also a waste of time, if you consider that you have to wait 1 hour if you wanto to set a new ambush... |
I can understand a mage with high SP and knowledge as they have talents which increase the mana and SP anyway. But the DE do not, the other thing that bothers me about caravans is this, how come a demon caravan at level 8 and 9 can use fireball yet you have to be level 10 ingame to use it.
Considering that caravans are resembling PvP i think this really needs to be revised.
I know the admins put alot of time into these things but i think this needs to be changed sometime in the future as it makes some caravans impossible to beat and i think that is unfair in a way. Im not asking to make them easier as that would be no fun but lower the SP or the amount of times they can cast by a bit.
This would give us more of a chance with these battles. |

At least make them have the creatures that they should have for their designed level but in lv 7 the elf's stats aren't that High its just their stacks you have to worry about |
Whine whine and more whine, whats wrong with having a challenge? Guys come on, does every single battle have to be doable with just skills? Sometimes you might need ALOT of luck. I think the caravans is really hard too and i fail quite often even though i were nearly the best arts but i think its good, would be booring not to fail any.

Well in the level 9-11s the caravans are almost impossible the stats are too high and admins did not add new equipments |
well maybe they just dont want it to be easy?
Maybe they dont want us to reach top lvl thief guild to soon?

yes. i think the caravan stats should be changed to reduce the difficulty.
I have seen my brother playing the thief game.
He always expect to meet people to ambush them because it is A fair battle. |
At level 11 for the high level guys you can only an ambush lv 9-10s and there aren't many of them so the players are hardly appearing |

i dont know, they get stronger and stronger i think?
Anyway there is no point in making them weaker, they are hard ok, its the same for everyone. |
Why is there no point in making them weaker, im not asking to change the amount or types of troops because it makes it fun. But i think the stats should represent a PvP battle as that is what they are supposed to be. I like it when i get a caravan of demons and end up with 7-8 devils. This makes it fun but when the caravan is fireballing all your troops it takes the fun out of it. |
uhm, i guess the hero of the caravans is wearing arts too, thats why its hard.
And still its no point in simplyfing the game, its the same for everyone, stop crying about it for &^%$ sake.
PS if you face a demon with fireballs try to keep your troops apart :S |
I do my troops are always have 4 sqaures between them, but near the middle and end of a battle all there troops are gathered in one space so you have to bunch up.
And still even if wearing arts it is still impossible to get some of the stats they come up with. Im not asking to have have them lowered dramtically just to a reasonable amount.
For example;
Dark Elf
6 Att
4 Def
9 SP
4 Knowledge
This is just an example i didn't sit down and work out exact numbers for like mercenary guild 4 and hunters guild 6 and stuff like that. But lighting would still hurt but it would be fairer. And we would still lose battles because as you previously stated NO ONE wants a game that you cant lose at it makes it no fun.
Just an extra point, who thinks the admins should bring back old thief rules where you can ambush 2 people of slightly lower level and stuff and they get monk son there side, that also makes it fun. |
I had a look at your combat log and noticed that you very recently defeated 2 dark elf caravans. How can it then be to hard?
If you spec an dark elf the magic way count labourers, hunters and racial factions etc iam quite sure the stats in use are pretty correct. (add artifacts in the calculations too)
I know for a fact that there is a few caravans that ive considered as IMPOSIBLE to complete, atleast as an elf, but that happends on all levels not just 9+. Maybe some better tactics, pre battle setup etc would do a difference. And caravans that might seem impossible for a dark elf might be very doable for other races and the other way around aswell. For example DE does not have alot of ranged or Area of effect based creatures except for hydras but they are very slow and has bad intiative and poisoners which i guess not people wouldnt choose over shrews :)
DE might not be the best caravan killers, simple as that? |
