the map is getting very boring only some rocks on the map
i think its time for new things like sieges with walls towers castles and siege weapons
sieges
you play sieges on a big map with usally 2 vs 2 3 vs 3 or 3 vs enemy/2 vs enemy
no rocks or other objects natural objects are on the map
sieges can be playd like the dragon caves or in (not yet released) clan wars
first thing: the walls
the walls block enemys from atacking your troops
their are 2 kindes of walls
1 the strong blocking wall (based on keeping enemys back)
2 barriers (not strong but when atackd they relate)
and their are gatehouses for your/the enemy melee troops to atack
second: towers
a tower is like a unit that cant walk non of your/ the enemy troops can seek shelther in it
the tower is already mannd by a ranged unit the tower can have different |

the tower can have different specials or spells the tower is mannd by a shooter/caster type unit (you cant set your troops in the tower)
the unit dies when the tower is destroyd (note: th e unit in the tower doesn't have 2 be a unit like bowmen or magi) |
third the castles/forts (the primary base)
the ''base'' is as big as 2x2 tiles it has high life and it can do (ranged) damage (note: the base can only shoot as far as his range is so if the base has 4 range the can only shoot 4 tiles far) the base cant be damaged by ranged/magic atacks (depends on the base his abilities)
when the base gets destroyd the side that had to defend the bas loses
and the atackers:
the atackers get siege weapons like first aid tent balista catapult ammo chart (these siege weapons the admins already planned) and specialy for sieges: siege towers and siege rams
for clans: (this is extra idea)
clans can use the gold donated to build walls/tower and upgrade their base so that they can battle against other clans in (not yet released) clan wars

Sounds good, if i remember correctly this comes from the HoMM series right?
(ive played one a few months ago, but not for long, didnt really liked it that you lose your troops all the time)
But what about flyers? can they just fly over the tower?
And wouldnt this give a bonus to wizards?
wizards just run as long as possible to let their hero attack, and if you come with another obstacle to reach the wizards troops, they are the faction that has the most benefit from it, right? |
good walls could block flying units or ani air tower (with laser guided missles just kidding ^^,
and about the wizards i dont know

not a bad idea but then people will only defend and not attack |

i had typed a longer topic for this with ideas of walls tower and castles but my computer crashd and more then 1 our typing was lost :(
but i am glad people like my idead
btw: achers CAN'T take cover in towers or castles
else it would be to easy for the defenders |
and if the whole sieges are to much asked for the admins
chance the maps they get borring |
well it would be good if the troops count was majorly increased so its like a real war and towers could have magic barriers stopping attack from the sky (lightning bolt and flyers) and spells like magic arrow well they would just hit the wall wouldnt they? but other than that i love the idea |
maybe you can combine this with clan wars
like 10 people vs 10 people or something
+the part what you said, clans can build towers and walls with gold |
its gonna take a lot of tiles to make a war like this
and how about the winner of the clan war gets maybe 25% of the clan's gold |
merc quest should have this.instead of defending critters why dont we defend castle or towers (with critters in it) |
i like a lot a conquer flag game, one player(or clan) have to defend and the other have to conquer, like mercenary quest where you have to protect allies, here you have to protect flag, i like this |
