It should be like a card game but there is luck, so here we can do +1morale on 12 lvl for 2 hours once a day and on 15 +1morale drink for 3 hours once per day.

| chess is a brain game not a luck game like tavern , anything related to brain effects knowledge and speed of reaction ,so increase in knowledge and speed are only possible parameters ,speed here can be choice of barbarian to increase speed of any one creature of his/her team by one :) |

| It is not an alternative to roulette. Everybody loves flushing money to toilet and roulette. In fact when you say speed of reaction, idea favorable for all factions: + 1-2% initiative for 1 hour per day. |
Or maybe just without any advantage, let say a little mana or health refresh for victory. Could be used to gain strenght after battle maybe? ...As long as it is not missused by friends playing each other checkmate in 3 moves.

| No on chess...as people say, it's not a luck game, meaning only the players that already are good at chess would be able to bet on it. Also, a game of chess takes too long, often longer than a full troop recovery. Rather some game that involves luck, like poker / backgammon / blackjack... |
1.Chess could be part of a bigger pack of games to make the waiting shorter.
2.Its a bit about luck.
3.Everyone who is good at chess once was bad and had to learn.
4.Doesnt take longer than recovery. You can set it to 5-10 minutes for each player to play all his/her turns. Most blitz games dont take longer than 10 minutes anyway.
5.Its an option to play chess, not need. Same like the tavern cards.
