Author | The AFK Counter |
We all know the effects of AFKs on potentially good games. It sucks horribly. Yet the admins either will not or simply have not increased the penalty for going AFK.
Fine.
Then at the very LEAST, for the sake of all of us legitimate players, add a new stat to a player's profile: The AFK Counter.
Every time someone afks a battle and loses all their creatures, the counter goes up by one. With a quick check to the profile page, you can summarize how good your enemey or ally's connection/temperament/attentionspan is and decide whether or not to risk joining the game. People who rack up high AFK counters will be PERMANENTLY visible to the public eye through this counter, and people will know who to avoid. With luck, the problem will be minimized vastly, and if not, you still know who NOT to join. |
more simple..... after every AFK the player cannot join a battle for 1 hour
(or less, or more, like the administrators think)
...or/and... with a battle counter:
time without join battles = ([n° of afk battle] - [n° of good battle]) * 1 hour
so if you go afk 10 times, and u play 5 good battle,
if you go afk the next, you cannot join a battle for 6 hours |
I prefer the first idea... The second one is a penalty... which according to xanxas the admins either will not or simply have not increased the penalty for going AFK. |
i like the 1st |
There already is a 2 hour penalty for afking, and as we've seen, it doesn't help. Time penalties do nothing, people just afk and go to sleep for the night. We need a counter that shows us how many times they've DONE that so we know not to join the battle. |
people just afk and go to sleep for the night not me i go afk and IF im lucky manage to make it past loading and join the battle |
My only issues with huge penalties for AFK's, is that it is sometimes not the players fault!!!
Sometimes pour/bad internet connections is the cause and unless admin's can differentiate this from simply being AFK I can not support huge penalties.
However, if the player can be proven to be online and is simply AFK then a huge hammer needs to be implemented!!! |
maby sometimes the person that go afk need to go and do inportant things, like eating or is going to the bathroom. maby is going to a sport. |
so if i have 250 AFK's on my name, and i join a group battle
What do you want to do? you cant retreat anymore
or if you ambush me? there is nothing you can do except waiting til the timer hits 0 even with this counter
Its only usefull for duels, but since level 2 i havent done any duel |
so, game need a "surrender button"
or a "always defend button"
so, you can find afk, but:
- you don't have to wait the time they loose
- the battle it's a little bit more fair
Little question:
if i go always afk and the counter says 1000...
...how do you think to block me before i join a group battle?
:-) |

if they afk make them lose exp |
the 1st is a great idea the second not so sure... that is kind of a penalty |
i agree with leonvinci makeing a button for surrender and defend all the time button would make the battle field a happy place instead of inpatient and angry |
