Author | Possible magic Piercing Bug |
Poison does earth elemental damage. Why can't a Dark Elf use poison against creatures normally immune to Poison eg Undead or Constructs? Could this be a bug or oversight?
Dark elves have Magic Piercing which enables them to deal greater magical damage to creatures with resistance, and partial damage to creatures with immunity.
This enables dark Elves to target Upgraded Gargoyles with Lightning or to strike magically immune Unicorns.

It's not a bug. It's working as intented. From the poison spell description you can read that "The spell does not affect Undead, Elemental and Mechanical creatures." These creatures are not just immune to it like normal magic resistance ( when something says immune to X, it simply means its 100% resistant to X ). Lightning spell does not say anything like that, therefore it is piercing the resistance. |
Thankyou for the reply that the issue is not a bug or oversight. Your answer explains the issue well in that it is deliberately done this way.
