I dont want to sound like an old man (no offence to anyone) but I have one computer and i often have a friend round to play. We would normally hunt or fight together so on my computer we play together. I see nothing wrong with this but can see how it could be abused (multi accounts). Could the administrators somehow allow us both to play form one computer. Thanks for listening
--This is sort of a suggestion, but a grumble at the same time so dont move it to suggestions.-- |
Just my 1-cent worth -
I can fully understand where u are coming from, as I have friends who live in a dorm and share a PC. But having said that, while yours may be a genuine case, anyone who wants to abuse the game can also make up a story similar to yours.
Sad, but I guess it's a little inconvenience some of us have to live with. :/ |
3.8.1. Participation of several characters played from one computer in one combat is prohibited.
It doesn't say from several of your own accounts, just several belonging to anyone.
While you're not on the same IP/Network then there SHOULD be no problem with interacting with the characters such as hunting/fighting together, just make sure while both account have the same IP/are being played from the same network that you DO NOT interact in any way with them, not even trading to them.
I'm not sure how the IPs are stored but I presume the login sessions have the IP too, to track which IPs accounts are signed in with, if this is not the case and it only shows the most recent IP the account has signed in with, then if someone checks while both accounts are signed in from one they may well deem it an extrachar used to help the first one |
well we do trade abd load to each other as we are friends but we dont break the rules and if we try to fight at the same time one one computer (often is completely seperate combats) it now disconnects both accounts and neither can fight =( |

I know thats the problem but it must be clear that me and my friend are two different people.. we play from diferent IP's most of the time we are in the same clan but anyone in it will say how we are completely different. Of course a computer cant work this out =( |
I suppose you can't do and won't get anything from this post since the rule is implemented in the game. I had the same problem when my network card crashed and I tried to continue my hunt with my gf from the same computer. Luckily, I just managed to "resuscitate" my network card on time. Here I set a wireless network for both my and my gf's computer in order for us to be able to play this game (well, the wireless network I did it with some other purposes, but it doesn't matter here why).
So, if you are able to create a small network out of one internet connection (as I did), you and your friend will play together this game without any problem (at least from the point of view of the game rules).
Good luck! |
play at internet cafe ... :) |
