"Pro" is defined as being paid from what one does. "Pro" driver is a driver who earns his life out of driving (buss drivers, F1 drivers and so on). "Pro" gamer is the person who earns his/her money by playing/testing games. All the specialized good magazines for games have "pro" gamers (they are paid to play the game to be rated).
An excellent gamer is that one who manages to find solutions where very few players are able to see any solution. An excellent player here would have reached the top of all the characteristics (HG, TG, MG...). Unfortunately, we don't have such a player yet. |

IMO, the one who always call himself 'pro' is just show that how newb is he. the title of 'pro' was given by other BUT not himself.
what so proud on calling yourself as pro while every other know you are a newb? LOL
for me, once you found you are not pro THEN you are/will be 1 of the pro.
pro player will always know:-
1. there are someone better than him/her out there;
2. something new to learn from other and apply to own usage;

A "Professional" earns their living with the proceeds of whichever endeavor the are pro at.
So Pros tend to do things that pay the bills, i.e. Commercial ventures. Here at LWM, in this small non-profit game the best you can achieve is 'Amateur Gamer' or better 'Game Enthusiast' |
