Reason - For provoking peaceful players to use rude language while being a silent spectator.

Ranting :
This is not the first time that this has happened. Often spectators report violations in battlechat. A careful review of the battle/battlechat will show that this spectator was speaking random things out of his turn and obviously disturbing the flow of the game. Then he/she feels offended when asked to shut up and goes and reports. The players originally fighting are then victimised.
Take this battle for example - expert comes in to battlechat and goes on about how he's a high level player and can do 0 with arrow :/
Then this line about loaning to XYZ (line 34,36) was absolutely unnecessary. No wonder the players felt irritated.
And then line 49 - "[Hellz_necro]: expert can u shut ur mouth" was imo just a request, (if i wanted to be rude i'd go SHUT UP and not can u shut up) and in return expert starts talking all the more letting the situation take a turn for the worse.

This is just a request to keepers to evaluate the battle chat once again, and not just ban players when they use swear words. Also this is NOT a jab at moderator action.
Once again this brings up the issue of blocking people from battle chat (But that's for IaS anyway)
PS - I foresee my first forum ban :p | Your application cannot be processed I'm afraid simply because you were neither a participant in the combat or the victim of the players' words as stated by this rule:
Complaints on insults (swearing, flood, threats, rudeness) in battles and tavern are accepted ONLY from victim and participants of that card game/combat. If your character was banned on Forum – wait until the ban wears off.
So whether keepers felt it was out of line or not is irrelevant unless the participants in the combat directly report it in the forums. | | closed by Zyanya (2009-10-13 16:16:44) |
