Hiya,

Started this thread for all to post and discuss the 'increase' in each faction's troops.

Well, I'm level 11 knight, and all I got is... ONE extra Cavalry! And that is at the expense of 4 X-Bows (!?)

Heard from a lvl 11 Necro friend she got additional:

7 app, 4 vamp, 1 envoy, -2 skele

- Updates (downdates?)
- Decreased damage for Escort,
- Decreased damage for Battle Dive,
- Increased talent point for defensive talents,
- Increased ambush map - A knight thief's Guardians now takes about 35 turns to reach the enemy.

and now this.


Given their initiative, heaven helps us when we come across fast armies like DE, Elves etc.

Oh, and don't even mention about a Wiz. We'll be zapped to death before we can reach them and offer a handshake of surrender. haha.. :)

Not even one update can a Knight rejoice at.

They don't really want anyone to play Knights, do they.. Sigh..

Before using rally, I got bonus 1 shrew, 3 hydra and 2 dark witches at level 12. So no great deal for DE too.
knights at levels 12 and up could hardly be beaten, necro was weak at levels 11 and 12, wizzards are now weakened as well

Should be the percenatage of how many more troops they get of that tier,and left from it is the actuall number of gained troops..
The level of substance(Tier)/Normal growth/Maximum range

A DE gets,

Elves get,

And knights get ONE extra Calvary?


Seriously.. all knights can go cry now..

I'm normally calm and collected, but this is REALLY.. *censored*

PS: If you are from another faction, don't post some remarks about how string knights are , and therefore should only get ONE Calvary, while other factions deserves to get those huge numbers... PLEASE.

Try imagining being in a Knight's shoes and then you'll feel exactly how I feel, if not worse.

#12 false, in my recruiting page, i got 1 golem at lvl 9 :)
I still don't get the rational behind the numbers.

I mnea, look at the numbers of the player's top list - >95% are either DEs and Demons, so obviously DEs are the preferred choice coz they are strong/easy to play/suitable for high levels.

How can one explain the rational of giving them even MORE troops and further distancing Des from other factions, and make even more players switch to DE?

Say and argue all you like, but a game is onlu truly balanced if the list of top players are a healthy mix of all factions.

I have seen that fight, m8. :)

And that's coz Antos was playing his true faction, while the other 2 players used a switched faction to gain faction resistance. Also, Antos had way better arts on.

That kind of battle and result ain't gonna happen now, trust me. Not if each faction plays to its full potential and have its full compliment of troops. :)
It does annoy me that DEs get even more. They have most hunt records and are the best at ambushes. So they needed more?
Say and argue all you like, but a game is only truly balanced if the list of top players are a healthy mix of all factions, and these 'faction balancing' updates will only make the top list even more unbalanced.

After analyzing what these updates mean for each factions, I can conclude that even less high-level players will stay in their original faction unless they are either DE or Demon.

How can the often-said, "all factions are equal, and have their own strengths." hold true when the top list clearly states otherwise? Obviously, from the top list, there's already a preferred much easier faction to play than all other factions COMBINED. And these updates will only make even more players switch to DE and Demons, and I can bet my bottom dollar on it. Any takers? :)

Faction balancing? I think not.


PS: Just my opinion and in no way takes away the enormous effort put in by Arctic (and whoever else) to bring us all these updates. We all know Arctic just implements the updates, he didn't create them. So, thanks Arctic. :)


PSS: I wouldn't be surprised if Arctic (a knight at heart, I'm sure), switches faction later on coz the very updates he helped implement makes his journey as a knight next to impossible at higher levels. haha.. :)
