What if, after you work in the same place over and over again (a lot of times, the admins can figure out what "a lot" means for this game), you would get a discount for purchases from that facility? This system works very well in real life and in this game it would encourage players to work in the same place in order to get a/some benefits. Eventually, the discount would increase with more and more enrolls and players would have an extra incentive to work in mines or machining facilities because those are the most commonly traded goods (and they would increase their profits when selling to factories and/or other facilities).
The numbers are up for debate in order to be balanced, so I'd like to hear feedback only on the idea. | Hmm, I like it, but I think others will complain it will mess up the economy. It might, but I don't know. | But what if the discount increases and increases so that in that facility, the (price that the item is sold at<gold taken in to make that item), such that the facility will end up with 0 gold and 0 items in stock. | for ChooJeremy:

Well, that's why I said the numbers are up for debate. The discount would, of course, be unable to lower the price below the production cost, so that productivity wouldn't suffer and the facilities would never end up bankrupt.
Keep in mind that I'm not suggesting 50% discounts, just very small 0.01% / enroll until 5% max. or something like that - again, a maximum that wouldn't take the price below production cost. |
