My ISP in Indonesia has a backup link using Singtel (Singapore). When they experience a problem with their main connection, they switch the connection to Singtel (temporary). That's why sometimes my IP Address is detected as Singapore.
I realize this when I play another online games which put a flag near our nickname to show our country of origin. I was surprised that sometimes my flag changes to Singapore.
I checked my IP Address using a free website that can show me detail location (including which city) I am in, and was surprised by the fact. And later, I confirmed this by asking to my ISP. | Sorry for double post.
I believe such statistic is not 100% accurate, but close enough.
What I mean is the country of origin. Not the estimated value :) |
