AuthorNo morale for neutrals
If there was 1 base morale for neutrals, you also have to change hero's troops base morale to 2, because your hero gives +1 morale.

So:
1. Increase morale of player troops to 2
2. Decrease morale of neutral troops to 0

It's simple but logical, and this was also in Heroes V (another thing i missed).
So:
1. Increase morale of player troops to 2
2. Decrease morale of neutral troops to 0


Sorry for double post, but only ONE of the two should be implemented!

Actually, in all of the HOMM games, the troops got +1 Morale bonus when there were only creatures of 1 faction in your army (for example: you have peasants, bowmen and swordsmen, they all belong to the same faction, so they get +1 Morale because you have no imps or skeletons or anything like that in your army). The same rule applies to neutral creatures as well: they are in an army of only troops from 1 faction, therefore they gain +1 to Morale.

As for the hero giving Morale, that's also wrong. Unless the hero has Leadership chosen as a talent or is wearing an artifact that raises Morale, he will not be responsible for any bonuses that his troops get - they only get the one I explained earlier.

As for the idea, I think the way it is now isn't all that bad. True, 1 morale burst can make or break the game, but that's the interesting part right there: the greater joy of success when you do overcome these obstacles and manage to win a tough battle. So:

And your explanation sucks, because when you get a double hunt of 2 different factions, they have still 1 morale, and when there is undead + living creatures, the living keep their 1 morale and don't get -1 morale.

So according to your 'logic', creatures should get 2 morale (1 from hero, 1 bonus for only troops of the same factions).

That's not true. Check out the MG quest like invaders, army or brigand, they have 0 morale even though they are all in the same faction.

I think the admin just add 1 morale to HG creatures purposely in order to increase the difficulty of the game.

To ivo678: I dont think this kind of suggestion will be taken, even though I really like this idea. The admin is less likely to make any changes that would decrease the difficulty of the game. They will only try to make it harder and harder, or more and more gold-consuming.
You can't add morale to player units because necro units don't have moral. It would be big disadvantage for necro compared to other factions.

From now on, if the factions of the two creature groups differ, their morale is 0. If one of the groups is undead and the other is neither undead, elemental, nor mechanical, the other group's morale is -1.
Im closing this thread because this idea may make the game easier and more boring, which is not my meaning.
