I'm training a new faction: barbarian.
I have barbarian faction level 0, no diamond upgrades, no enchanted artifacts, and 1 skill point wasted in knowledge (i used knowledge with my main faction, and i didn't use potion of oblivion when i switched to barb)
In these poor conditions, i managed to break a hunt record :)

impossible to edit :(
of course, racial ability of barbs is not very important for hunt records (except maybe magis, druids, anchorites...)
but a high faction level gives some usefull bonuses.
for exemple faction level8 gives +4 attack, +4 defense, +7% initiative...it make records a lot easier to break ;)
weirdly the hunter who has first place record also had a wasted point in knowledge! - go figure
he had 1 knowledge because of the great hunter set (helmet gives 1 knowledge)
but he didn't wasted skill points in knowledge.
i had 2 knowledge in my hunt record: 1 from GH set, 1 from wasted skill point ;) |

magic proof has no effect on magic punch.
Only advantage of the faction level would be the att/def/initiative you get from it
But the higher level you are, the easier it is to break a new record.
Look at Antos and Alyna, each hunt they do is a new record ;) |

@sven: there are not enough level14 players now to speak of hunt records :p
look at demons for exemple: any level14 demon defeating ANY hunt would have his name in the top hunter list...and if someone decided to never hunt farmers until level14, then turn to demon and kill 12 farmers, he would have the 1st place of level14 demons, and a gold medal in his achievements ^^
now, i think we can speak of "true" records for levels 11-12 max.
we need to wait 1 or 2 years to have true level 13 records, and 1 or 2 more years for level 14 records. |
