Hi. Whenever I view a topic in the Congratz forum, I had to find the player using find a player option. To reduce the effort, there can be a space below 'Topic' where the player can put the link of the player he is congratulating. When the topic is created, a button will appear there which can be clicked to view the player's profile or any other site. |

Why need for that? People can post the link there anyways, no need for special spaces for those. So can be done with warlogs, etc. |
Either you know the person or you dont, there's no need to 'verify' they have achieved what has been said in the thread |
Not verification. Just to know the person. Why else are we creating it? |
I think this would be far more useful in the CaA Forums than the gratitudes and congratulations forum anyway |
The person who congratulates can paste the link to the congratulated profile (if they care enough). The link is automatically transformed by the system to be "click-able"...
So I would say: no need for such thing. |
Sorry for the double post.I forgot to add 1 more thing.
Some times people may forget to put the link.So the additional space would remind them of it. Also it is easier to right click on the link and click 'Open in new tab' than to ctrl+c, new tab and ctrl + v :) |
For example. Here I paste my link: https://www.lordswm.com/pl_info.php?id=4558896
(it should be already "clickable") |

I didn't know that. How did you do it? Anyway, many players are not putting it.So this would remind them to put it:) |
for vishnus: Every webpage on internet has a link (address), shown in the address bar of the web-browser. Just select it, copy it, and then paste it wherever you want.
The link to our profile is also (hidden) underneath our names whenever they are clickable. For example in the left hand side of this page there are our names, which are clickable. Right-click on any of them and a panel should open, with one of the options "Copy Link Location" (or something like that -- depending on the web-browser). Afterwards, just paste it anywhere you want (either with CTRL+V, or right click in a text box, and choose "Paste" option)
Here is yours: https://www.lordswm.com/pl_info.php?id=4730752 :P
If people care enough for others to read the congratulation text and to know whom it is dedicated to... then they should put. If not, then who cares? I never bother to look for profiles if I don't know them. |
And if for any reason you don't see a link to the player's profile, but you know his name, you can create a link to his profile like this:
https://www.lordswm.com/pl_info.php?nick=[INSERT_NAME_HERE]
Example: https://www.lordswm.com/pl_info.php?nick=DarkSooth |
