So the "battle is starting" comes straight up on the screen, in the middle, interrupting whatever that person is doing? -1.
OR, the "battle is starting" comes up at the top bar? That's useless, it's already red, people would know. -1.

Do you know how long three seconds is for a beeping sound? A typical beeping sound, just a 'beep', last for half a second. A three second beeping sound would be... B(e)^999p... |

It's beyond the browsers power.
You can keep an open tab on the Group Battles page because it is refreshing often, so you won't miss the battle. If you have a forum page open or a character page, you'll never know the battle has started because these pages are never refreshed automatically. |

As Darksooth suggested keep a separate tab open for battle page
OR
Go to your 'Personal Settings' and tick the first option in sound settings. you will hear the first beep sound as soon as 'troops settlement' options appear and after that at each of your turn throughout the combat.

| i say the character page should be refreshed continuously automatic like the battle page because when u do other things after u join a battle n then u go to character page the battle doesn't start automatically u have to click a button so keeping sounds on is not useful in that case u have to be on the battle page when u join the battle and then keep sounds on then u l know when it starts no changes required other than that i guess |
