i created this thread 'cuz the old 1 was obsolete.

is poison build at expert magic level good for a lvl8 DE?or would mass poison be better?or is this build just lame:p?
I don't think poison built would be useful.It will need good spell power and it is better to have advanced darkness talent+mass poison. DEs don't have a long surviving unit .Only medium survivers like mino ,hydra and poisoners.

Might build might be more suitable althought I haven't tried poison built(poison built useless against undead and wizards). If it is might build, it would be better to have rally, or, battle fury + (luck or advanced offense).
is upgrading to poisoners good ??
or shud play with rouges..

Upgrading to poisoners is not as worth as cost.It is the worst tier 1 upgrade.
If you have money, you can upgrade.They are good at taking retail for lizard cavalry.Or you can recruit more poisoners and use them instead of rogues.It might be good against shooters with low hp.
Look I have around 23k .
I wanna buy arts in this budget.
Any suggestions?
And which talent in lvl 6.
But I wanna keep 5k with me.

It depends. There are Might-DEs and Magic-DEs, maybe also something between it.

If you want to be Might DE with agile Shrews, being cabable to hunt/MG/thief much, just put all to attack. If you want to participate to Minor Tournament, buy everything best you can, but I'd suggest you to save those moneys, if you're not gonna participate.

For talents, maybe take Basic Offense/Luck.


If you want to be Magic-DE with crushing spells and so on, you can't do such hard MGs, Hunts and Thievings. You can fight well in PvP, though. For attributes, put few 2-3 points to knowledge and rest to Spellpower.

For talents, you can take Basic Sorcery+Mana Recovery or Basic Sorcery+Empowered Spells (if you take the first one, you don't need more than 3 Knowledge, if you take the second, you should have 3 at least, maybe 4).

And as with Might-DE, take best artifacts you can get, those which give Spellpower ofc.
Artifacts.Their quality/price is in this order-
Defender shield > Sword of retribution > Amulet of luck >Hauberk> Ring of inspiration>Ring of dexterity> Cape of spirits
You can buy equilibrium sword instead of retribution, but it costs much more for just 2 initiative.So it is not good if you have low money. Also you can but medal of bravery instead of amulet of luck if you re low on money and ring of dexterity instead of ring of inspiration. Cape of spirits is somewhat as good as ring of dexterity with mana recovery but ring definitely is better in case of any other talent.About talent, I don't know the best one at this lvl for you.This is for PvP. If you are participating in tournament, you should have the best artifacts for that lvl.Otherwise it would be a waste of durability.

For DE, poisonous build and generally magical build are good in Group battles, min 2 vs 2. Their use in duels is problematic, altough it can differ depending on level. For Survival tournament, hunts, merc. quests and I'd say in most duels is might build better.

There's no absolutely perfect strategy, though. Find your style and go for it ;-) Believe yourself.
Magic Build is absolutely good for all kinds of PvP.
Maybe the ''weak'' levels of DE's Magic are 12 and 13, because there are more units but old lv10 spells :s

well i am not a DE but come on the first and third battle was ambush.it's always hard to beat ambush if u r not wearing heavy arts.
and even if u wear heavy arts i think still u will have very small chance 2 win.if he just manage to kill the shrews he wins.he will just fly by gargs and your other troops will run behind it and die by the hero.

for explaining 2nd battle as a elf i think it will not be a good idea.

First battle
Big mistake was poisoner's move. It blocked lizz and it took lizz one more move before he could attack. Without that poisoner move, you could reach gargs more quickly.
When blocked, lizzard shouldn't have moved at all, just wait till something makes a way.
Wizzard had miniartefacts and was lucky with poison. That makes the battle very hard for you. It's not usual, when gargs are killing minos and lizzards.

Second battle
Necro - the worst possible opponent for DE. Anyway. Mino move had no point. Your troops should have been more together - when vamp attacks mino, it should be somewhere in lizzard reach, and possibly hydra too. It's hard to say exactly, but keep troops more together. Your chances against Necro about 10%.

Third battle
Lizzard shouldn't have abandon garg. Why did he make place for less initiative hydra? Anyway, again, very low chances for you, I'd say 20%.

I recomend putting all points to attack. I saw some spell power and knowledge, if it's art ok, but if choice, not good. Talents boost your attack points, so you have to maximize attack.
i'm a lvl 11 DE and played a lot of time as a might DE.
I which to give a try to magic DE.
Can someone with experience tell me the best combination of talents and the amount of points i should put on Knowledge and Spell power?
And there are some specially arts that are necessary to use?
And, finnally, which of the spells are most usefull?
