New thief rules

AuthorNew thief rules
Hello dear LordsWM players!

I have got strange message from administration.
Possible see this in my Transfer log (11-23-10 13:20: Player was imposed a penalty of 5000 gold. // Bad sportsmanship, intentional delay of the battle; warid=25746081)

So, can anyone explain me some questions:
1. When I hit upon the other player I have time for cogitation, or has no time?
2. When I go in thief hunt (all the time in min AP), I need lose quickly and have no time to think my actions?
3. I see time my move in gameplay, this time dont worked more?

When I buy thief license, I not to know that can have a penalty.
When player to get to me in trap and long cogitation - I not to write complaints in administration.
If any censored people, who has no thief license cry to administration abaut his difficulty in play - why I get the penalty?
Thank you for attention. Good to see some answers.
Have a great time.

Everyone can use given time as much as is needed, it is the "TIME" for turn, if someone bothers then admins should shorten this time to 30s like in GB.
probably u hit one of admin.

I have reported such "bad sportsmanship" 2-3 times before and no response and my posts were locked soon.

Later I have met a few more such situation and I won't bother to report again.

Intentional delay are really not good in this game, saving others' time, saving your time.

However it is really strange that admin react about it.
I would suggest that you bring this direct to the admin privately instead of posting this here and ask what is the problem and negotiate a resolution.

Blaring this out publicly is not going to do any good and may garner negative feelings.
Actually, this shouldn't be an issue. Bad sportmanship penalties are usually handed out if you were intentionally making (almost) every move at the last second and/or semi-afk (that is you go afk for a couple of turns and then suddenly you are back, and this is repeated several times during the battle).

So, in the future, if you feel like you do not have the time or concentration to complete a thief ambush, please refrain from setting one up. Remember that you are playing with other human players, who have limited gaming time. It is important that you respect their time, by not engaging in time delaying tactics.

Even if you find yourself in a battle where you are forced to play in this behaviour, such as spotty internet connection, you can always apologise to your fellow player after the battle. I am sure that would reduce the chances of you getting getting complained about and penalised.

For your case, I cannot see the timer for turns during the battle, so I cannot say for certain that you are innocent or not. If you think you were wrongfully penalised, please bring up your matter in private to cantbstopped, our resident Keeper.

for vidlak666:
The time given for such battles, IMO, is not for legalising such behaviour. Rather, it allows players time to occasionally attend to other urgent matter like bio-break, feeding the dog etc etc. Players should always play in a reasonable speed.

Also, this contravenes with the forum rule 5.1, "Administration's actions and decisions are not subject to discussion." So I will be giving you a warning ban and this topic shall be locked.
