I did a hunter help with "xstephanie" and looked prior to hunt to see recruiting info. Said player and myself are at this time both lvl 4. I also noticed that said player had over 92,000 gold, which is quite impossible with a hunt lvl of 2 and a laborers lvl of 1, so I did some investigating.
