Hi everyone,
today I went into the chat room and I was working on some project and in that project I needed a person from a certain country. so I went asking around seeing if anyone was interested in helping.
and this moderator by the name of ipsline confronts me for it
I tell him I know the rules
he gives me a ban for that.
and even after that he invokes even more
by taunting and says "I see you have a fairly extensive ban record" "the next one will be very long" "Keep that in mind"
so I am left in ??? puzzled
I think the moderator wanted to ban me for arguing maybe because he was in a bad mood.
but it takes 2 to argue.
I was in peace just earlier not causing any trouble to anyone
until this moderator starts giving me trouble the when I reply he says drop it or else. that right there is almost insulting. its almost equivalent to shut up. I know I'm suppose to submit to them and all but it's just unpleasant and invokes the argument even more.
so finally he told me to drop it
I say okay well leave me be then
and he just can't leave me alone.
and bans me.
I am still very very puzzled
and bottom line I am banned for asking someones nationality in chat. I don't understand how that adds up into a ban.

and I honestly think some moderators are just way to sticky |
| if it sounded discriminated then the mod coud have banned you but to be honest if you were just politely asking 'is anyone chinese around here' then it should have been fine |

| honestly, you cannot argue with mods..if they warn you, do not argue..you can try settle with them peacefully...what did you ask? real name? fact is, some people are bothered if asked personal questions by strangers |

well the moderators issue was that the messages were not in private
but my thing was that it would bother the person even more.
so I thought just that an polite open question would be fine.
they can answer if they like. if they feel uncomfortable that's fine I understand |

but the most unlogical part about this is that the moderator asked me to drop it
and I dropped it basically. leave me be is putting the converstation\arguement away.
what did he expect? a groveling apology? and again I was not causing any trouble to anyone. I only had trouble when the moderator confronted me. |

that is so demanding. I was not in anyway breaking any big time rules.
any moderator can demand any thing and start and argument with you and then ban you for participating in it.
if they are in a bad mood they can give you an extra hard time if they like. |
