Game rules too strict?

AuthorGame rules too strict?
I've seen many players banned for giving or receiving arts, resources and gold. Is that so bad to help each other? Does that bother anybody/admins?

I understand that some may say that players supported by others can achieve more but is that so bad? As long as transfers are forbidden between multi accounts, I think players should be free to give their possesions to thom they want.

P.S. I hope I won't get banned for opening this threat ;)
i think what you say is true, if i want to leave the game why cant i give all my stuff to my friends ?? plus why shouldn't we be allowed to transfer between accounts if we are all allowed 3 then it shouldn't be a problem. anyway *sigh* never going to be changed
for merlin36:
sigh shouldn't be the expression i want to give everything to my friend at leaving game ,OMG I'm my own friend.
then what?
I think that what we've written is just one example of overregulation. Admins waste time on banning and players get angry, often quitting the game. There is no suprise for me that after couple of months of regular gameplay, the amount of active players keep decreasing.

I'm suggesting review of all rules and considering to lift the most strict and controversial ones.
There probably could be some ways to reduce rules like (already suggested) special registration for main and multi chars (so multis aren't allowed by system to transfer gold) and many other things.

That would need some programming.

Yes I think we have too many rules, but atm there's probably no alternative.
read the rules.
play by them.
no penalties.

easy, isn't it?

P.S. I hope I won't get banned for opening this threat ;)

you a mean a "thread". a threat would be: "either you change the rules or i quit this game". and yes, some players are quiting the game. it's a true shame, but .com doesn't have the power .ru has. so either you join the rebellion:
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1899948,
or shut up. i'd join it, but i got my head severed 'cause i think with my own head - which is a crime, in this server.
easy, isn't it?

Depends.. If you are like 12 years old, don't have good english skills, it can be hard work to understand all. ;)

Even very experienced players sometimes have problems to understand all rules with all their meanings.
it has a simple reason

like u have a level 10 account and your friend got level 5 account
if u give him your full arts set with high enchantment as gift his power will get so high that it will be 1 sided game he battles any 1 which is boring
I don't think that it would be a massive problem if someone gives full arts set to a friend. That's his or her's thing. 5 lvl player can also keep working in LG to earn money for a full set.

Some players want to give their inheritance to others as they plan to stop playing for some time or want to quit the game and they should be allowed to.

P.S. To syrian: Some players speak English well and some keep learning. I see no reason for pointing every spelling mistake as long as you can understand the sentence as a whole.

i did understand your sentence, but i found your mistake interesting to point out something else. it was not offensive, was it?

about CL5 players, something should change. most of them don't stick around.

about giving your goods to your friends when you leave, i think blazingarpit said it all.
I think we should lay the ground for the discussion for whether games rules are too strict.

1) Too strict as in the punishments are too harsh?
2) Too strict as in there are too many game rules?
(i.) Some actions which are currently against the rule should be allowed.
(ii.) Due to the huge number of rules, it is too difficult for the average player to be fully aware of all of them and as a result, may break some of them from time to time due to genuine ignorance.

If it is 1, I agree. I think that fines are sufficient penalty for many of the infringements which resulted in blocks.
If it is 2i, I don't have any problem with the rules now. But I'm welcoming discussion if there is any people are unhappy with.
Else if it is 2ii, I also agree. And the best solution to that will be as Nutella said in #5.
If there was an option to team play everything, even enrolling than yeah arts could be shared, but since it is single account, arts should stay in single mode and not xx players pushing one which will be used and abused in case of "liberal" donations to others. After all what is so strict in rules? Better yet, how come that rules are so complex? Maybe because of regular abuse in past? Hm....

how about creating a Council of representatives to bring proposals forth to the admins?
maybe a Council of MC leaders?

or are we just gonna go over something that someone finds it's wrong again and again and again with ever zero outcome?
@Skuwak

1)Yes, blocks are overused for example in 'petty crimes' such as not using small letters when someone opens a thread.

Next thing is that penalties should be proportionate to crime. Penalties counting in hundreds of thousands of gold, making account to run in red, can often make someone to abandon an account.

System of using penalties should be clear. Admins can discuss what size of penalty is proportionate to each kind of breaking the rules and publicize it on forum, so that you know how much you risk swearing in the game or making transfers between multi accounts. There's enough to make few categories and naming range of possible penalties. Maybe admins already have such list but it is not public.

2) I don't know if there're too many rules or not. Before someone reaches lvl 5-7, he/she should already know most of them.

(i) Yes, transfers between players that want to make gifts should be allowed, at least to some level. Players that leave the game and want to delete an account should be able to give someone they choose their posessions.

Translation: You want that everybody can make as many multies that they like and give everything to there main.

They couldnt if special registration for main and multi chars (so multis aren't allowed by system to transfer gold) and many other things.

That wouldn't stop people from registering more than one main and than saying "this one is now resigning and giving everything to this friend."
@13. Some MCs are rife with cheaters, so i can't see why a group of MC leaders should be given any authority.

The game, while free has to make money. If it was up to me, I would not allow any gifts. I'd have strict rules about loans and renting, the amounts, etc. People buy diamonds so they have cash, early upgrades, etc. If you are having cash problems, diamonds solve that. The devs has structured it that unless you are patient you will get cash problems. Gifting, especially from dodgy multi gets around that, thus the penalties.

I know why this happens. I am CL 5 right now and it is suddenly a long journey from CL 5-6 compared from CL 4-5. Most the players dont understand that.
Only those who liked the game very much carry on

not authority, mate, just given a voice, as representatives in a Official Council. Arctic sponsored this idea. some MC leaders publicly endorsed it. you're free to be against it, but do know what you're speaking against. "rife with cheaters", so let's do nothing? nice attitude, that will lead us far.

true, but many players of CL7, 8 and 9 eventually stick around because they enter a MC and start making friends. it's more difficult to establish friendships outside a MC, i think. and lower level players are not accepted in most MCs.
