AuthorDuality tournament
Before we go on setting any more invented rules we should agree on what we want.

Do we want a Tournament that is just for fun (resulting in low rewards due to heavy imbalances), or do we want a type of tournament that can be played seriously?

In case we choose the fun version I agree with Slust's post #20.

But my statements were based on the thoughts of creating a serious and nice rewarded tournament. And in my eyes such a Tournament should feature great advantages for people that don't just focus on playing only one faction mainly. Besides the 3% damage reduction in PvP battles for each fsp level in the opponents faction this tournament would feature greater benefits for players like "Ethereality" for example (i guess you know him ^^).

Currently there is no Tournament type that features great advantages for such players and this type of tournament could change that :)

But since this was Slust's idea I would be ok with his "just for fun" version too, since it would give this server atleast a bit more dynamic and it is easier to implement for the admins i think, since the easyness of stuff implementation seems to be the biggest argument they see (just take the last "event", minor tournament ... few clicks and people are a bit happier).

I am looking forward to Slust's decision :)
Well, again, IMO, an event should be thought so as most if not all players could stand a chance at it. This, is for both ethic concerns, and the fact that, admins will be more likely to work on something that would please the whole community more than the few multi faction ones.

I kinda agree that the incentives for multi factioning aren't very big, but yet, if I, and I would say, if we do that, it's because we feel it's worth it, right now. If it is worth it right now, then there's no real NEED for any more incentive, is it? I understand that you would want some more use for multi factionning, but what I enjoy in this game, and that is hard to find elsewhere, is that possibility for everyone to begin with (roughly) as much chance for both to win in PvP, would you play for free or not, or would you be a gold-hoarder or not. I think this should be kept as it.

As well, again, multi factionning is hardly possible, and worth doing in early levels. That would mean there would be say 1 or 2 multi faction players there... Would it be really serious?

Anyway, whatever we do, we shouldn't expect too much of a balance (and, btw, giving more advantages for muti factionning would more imbalance it than balance it in any way). I would bet that there will be very strong combinations. Though, the restriction of 1 kind of tier per player would probably limit that (no shrews along with cerbs, for ex).

So, I still believe that there should be no more bonus for multi factionning, other than the 3% resist.
