AuthorDiamonds
I propose that we be able to post diamonds on the market to sell to other players. Considering that we can already place TGI on market and we can always buy them from diamond repository I do not see what issues it would cause if we were allowed to post them on the market.

OR the diamond exchange rate could be increased to a number larger than the current 2500:1. The current exchange rate seems like too little for too much for someone who is looking at buying diamonds.

Either way would encourage players to buy more diamonds.
this place is like game stop you buy a game for 40 dollars they offer you 5 for it

HA! Nice but even GameStop has special offers.
I think this could be abused too easily
(people buying diamonds in the mine with a multi and reselling it on the market for less. Yes, make that illegal, but what about the innocent people that bought those cheap diamonds? will become one big mess ....)

Diamonds can be bought easily at RoH .. :)
For 15k

but -1 to this pointless topic

I have bought >100 diamonds and used them for buildings/gold

The 2500 is fine and it should stay that way.

Would ruin diamonds

@7: I am sorry but diamonds are fairly expensive at $1.26. That is $100 for thieves' guild entry.

@8: I am sorry but how would this ruin diamonds? I fail to see the logic behind this statement, clarify if you would please.
Using diamonds for early upgrades is far too expensive for most players to even consider, and that's not even including the fact that you can just upgrade at a later level anyway.
Buying diamonds in order to trade in for gold seems pointless given that $1.26 only gets 2500 gold, it hardly seems worth it. Increasing the rate to 5000:1 or 7500:1 seems like a much better value.
Allowing players to trade diamonds would allow players willing to purchase diamonds to make a decent profit.

These propositions would make diamonds a more inviting resource and in turn generate more players willing to buy diamonds.
@4: Just noticed your post. People are blocked or fined all the time for breaking rules. Even when transfers go through the market they are still on the players transfer logs.
diamonds are not too expensive. If you can afford an XBOX game you can afford diamonds. If you can't then you don't need to buy diamonds. Live within your means. Not all people can afford a real diamond. The same should hold true with diamonds here. Diamonds are fine the way they are. They give you a competitive advantage and should not be devalued.

maybe you didn't notice that game offers you the possibility to buy diamonds for game gold.

15k = 1 diamond. Go to ridge of hope -> diamond repository

So if you play regularly, you don't need real money to get diamonds. No reason to put them on the market (except to create a weakness in the system).

It's more like those games where you have the choice: make an effort and get everything free, or make no effort, pay and get everything right away. I would be really annoyed if my effort in playing could be so easily ruined by people with a credit card.
The biggest reason I believe diamonds should be on the market would be to get a better price for them. I feel that 2500 for one diamond is a little low, putting them on the market would allow players that sell them to get a better price.

@14: I know very well that you can buy diamonds from the diamond repository. However I feel that 15k is a little steep. Also allowing diamonds on the market would in no way allow your effort to be "ruined" by someone with a credit card. If anything it would just take less effort. I am proposing putting them on the market to make diamonds more easily obtained by players that will not put real money into the game and to encourage players that will buy diamonds to buy more as they can get more gold per diamond.
-1 I don't like this idea...

If the 15k per diamond price gets reduced, more people will buy diamonds with in game gold rather than donations which admins don't want so it wont happen.
This isn't a bad idea. As long as there is a diamond repository and they maintain the current diamond exchange price, the market price for diamond will be bracketed between 15000 and 2500 gold. I'm sure there are those who donate who are looking for better value and there are those who do not or cannot donate that are looking for ways to get thief invites or upgrades sooner. This could actually be beneficial to everyone.
If they really want to encourage players to buy more diamonds. They have to give some seasonal offer/discount..
say like 5%-10% discount for buying diamond online for some random weeks or days ... all other online game using this method for encouraging players to spent real money.
gives us more event and people shall top-up more diamond
