Author | Can't enroll using a smartphone |
I have just purchased an Android-based smartphone (HTC Desire S) to be able to enroll when I'm travelling etc. and to my big disappointment I am unable to type-in the code. I see the image OK, I can even fight in battles, but when I tap inside the text-box to type the code, no virtual keyboard appears. Thanks in advance for any advice.
P.S. I am using the default web browser. |
Try dolphin browser, sometimes the keyboard doesn't come up, but most times it does. Works well enough for my samsung tablet. |
you can force the keypad to appear... Click on the right down menu then click the middle button : Your keypad will appear! |
I have a Wildfire so may be different but anyways :P.
When i first got it i tried to enroll using it, getting very frustrated after find when i tapped it it didnt work. I started tapping the text box repeatedly willing it to work. To my surprise a black screen popped up with white text box in the middle and the word ENROLL next to it. After finding that i was getting somewhere, i again used the technique of "Tap it 'til it works" to get a keyboard to appear after typing in the code i clicked the enroll button. NOTE: Keyboard doesnt go away so have to tap the bit of ENROLL you see otherwise it just puts the letter underneath it.
Because you cant see the code after getting the black screen its best to memorise it or write it down so you can type in the right code when you get the chance. |
