No this is not something to bash our beloved 'chosen' leader of the game. I just have a question.
Where is his successor? Why do we not have another 'man' or 'woman'?
I think this game would move along more smoothly by quelling the... "this game is going to die!" and "where is admin?!" crowd if we had someone else willing to step up to the plate.
There are several candidates that I will not name that can...
...but who wants to step up to the plate? Who will we accept?
Who can deal with the STRESS of daily whiners, cheaters and noobs along with elder players of the game who have grown weary with the game?
Soooooooo much responsibility for a job that does NOT, can I please stress...NOT,NOT,NOT pay.
To not incite flame I will not point fingers. Instead I will ask this...
...have you ever stopped to put yourself in the shoes of the person you are complaining to?
If you...you, I'm talking to you who is reading this right now...if you tried everyday to do your best but if day after day all you heard were complaints and negativity, and most of you are young so imagine when your parents go off on you...do you really want to listen anymore after you knew you did your best but no one is appreciating it?
Arctic is the man...but ummm...I have a question...why can't we stop complaining about updates, stories, events and the like and just lead ourselves to enjoy the game because obviously we the people will not accept another leader.
So if you are not apart of the solution, you my fellow player are indeed, apart of the problem.
Think about it before you disagree, you can still disagree but at least THINK.
I am not searching for popularity with this, which should be obvious with the content's nature...it was meant to provoke a thought. Hopefully several and at least enlighten a few who didn't think about the OTHER person's shoes. | because obviously we the people will not accept another leader.
Who told you that? I would be fine with another admin assistant... | well yes I overstand what you mean DragonEater, I myself would be fine with it also..the deal is with the masses.
While many can individually deny, can we unitedly accept?
If you, and by you I mean everybody, can accept, then let US grow and accept the 'new king', sort of like looking for who can pull Excalibur.

I might not. Arctic is the BEST. If any other person comes in his shoes, they will have to be better. But that's hard to find, very hard. None can replace Arctic.
The fact that people protested in huge numbers when Arctic was blocked shows that most people in the game like Arctic. [My cousin told me this. Sa that I couldn't be a part of Arctic's revival :(] Also, he is unbiased, takes decisions quickly than most others. | Nobody complaining about Arctic.
And is not about stepping out, its about getting the power from admin/owners, which is not happening. | @4. That is heavily overstating the point. Arctic is not "the best" or this thread would be unnecessary.
Anyone who is constantly here would be better.
Anyone who could manage issues with Mods without having it descend in to a public lynching would be better.
The role is quite easy, it's just thankless, and it needs the owners of the game to trust an outsider and that's the biggest problem. | | I like Arctic alot. Being an assistant in .Com to the admin is like being the cashier of a (not so profitable) shop. The admins/owners of the shop also own a profitable supermarket.
Cashier in both business are linked and can access bank details, IP and confidential stuffs.
Would YOU, the owner/admin of the above business give the cashier position of the not-so-profitable shop to ANYBODY???
Now let me guess… you will now suggest something to overcome that issue. Go read the Ideas and suggestions forum, you are and will not be the first one who tried to improve this server.
But guess what, any suggestion we made, the admins did nothing. Lol NOT EVEN acknowledging something… So this tells you, the admin do NOT want to have a cashier of the not-so-profitable shop and would indicate that YOUR suggestions, ideas (as bright and innovative as it may seem) are worth NOTHING! |
