question for the traders/leasers/enchanters/smiths...
do you include taxes in your prices?
if you say 'send 100 gold to me', do you mean 101 (so you get 100), or 100 (so you get 99)? |
they say the price - you pay this price + the tax. |
100 (so you get 99)? |
It depends from person to person.
In traders both exist.(mostly tax not included)(but in market price is always inclusive)
Same in leaser
In smiths and enchanter ,they dont need you to pay tax as while you are sending them cash you pay yourself. |
We mean 100 gold. The tax is paid by you (just like in real life, quite reasonable, ain't it ?)
If you send to a smith/enchanter, sending +1 gold means that you are a pro customer. Most people won't mind the 1 gold, it's just an act of personality. |

:) Ofcourse! The tax should be paid by the buyer.
The problem is the we mean 100 gold-part. Is this with or without tax?
Involving real experience: where I live, it is mandatory by law in advertising to state if a price is with or without tax.

Sure, but things get more serious when the deals get bigger.
Comparing DuskCarnivore's post to Lexo's, I'd say Anshuman007 has a simple yet solid point: it depends from person to person.
Therefore, to keep trading honest and to avoid unnecessary PM-ing back-and-forth in order to know the 'real price'....
Please state whether your price is with or without tax.
Moderator: would you be so kind to move this thread to Ideas & Suggestions? Thanks. :) |
only resource sellers include tax in their price, noone else as far as I know. |
i think in all prices the fee is already included.
I took some examples from leasing forum, and if in the topic is stated e.g. 100 gold per battle, then all of them transfer 100 gold and not 101. |
Topic moved from "Queries and help" to "Ideas and suggestions". |
If I sell something such as arts or elements so that the other side accepts it to get it, I include the tax in price so if I wrote I sell for 1000 gold, I send it with price 1000 gold.
Regarding leasing, I have in my profile info that the transfer tax will be added on top of lease price so that I get net amount.
Regarding resource transfer, I try not to deal it because it is low profit while lots of bargaining. People forget that when you send gold payment you need to cover transfer tax - think that 181 gold for wood is low price while you have to add 2 gold to each piece to cover tax and it makes price same as in mine. |
When I sell something, sure i prefer receive the tax, but I already know on market what I can profit, or not profit, so tax don't make any difference for me...
When I use Smithing services or clan fees, I never pay the tax, they don't ask too, but I don't know...
The real good thing, should be take out the tax! xD |
