The New Year's eve has always been a very special date for citizens of the Empire. Representatives of all estates, factions and ranks had many things in common for this night: busy with decorations of their dwellings, troubled about shopping at the grand bazaar, thronging around the Empire's delivery service to make sure all those they cared about would be to receive a tiny bit of their attention... Indeed, this day like no other could unify all beings alike.
Closer to the evening, after finishing their own preparations, the Capital inhabitants drew closer to the city center, gasping about how greatly the Central square was decorated. Her Majesty the Empress and members of the Court made their appearance, originating many loud whistles and claps, and sounds of overall rapture thundered above the Palace and spread through the streets. As every year before, Her subjects came to witness another year's dawn in Her company.
She raised Her hand, and grateful subjects grew silent, ready to heed. She spoke of faith and unity, of hope and courage, of love and peace; as though drawing a magical bond to the heart of every subject, She managed to greatly raise their spirits, and as Her speech had come to an end, crowned by tremendously luxurious fireworks, the citizens of the Empire screamed out traditional salutes to the Empire and to their sovereign.
Members of the Court took word then, reminding the Lords that they were to make use of the following festive features from December, 31, until January, 4:
1. Special New Year Character images with winter thematics;
2. Hunts, mercenary quests and thief ambushes 40% more often;
3. Troops ready and mana restoration 40% quicker;
4. Young Christmas deer mount increasing movement speed by 80%;
5. Faction skill points earned in combats increased by 20%;
6. Old and New year Chinese horoscope symbolic hunts;
7. New year ale in the artifact shop's presents section;
8. A tasty treat once a day upon logging in for every Lord of combat level 3 and above;
9. Present transfer via Delivery service available to every Lord. The contents will remain unknown to the recipient until the arrival of the New 2013 year. |
