Its sad.People always expect 'insane' drumming and solo's from a7x.
But they forget that hail to the king is like some classic old school song(metallica like stuff) which does not need crazy drums. |

A song isn't just about perfect sounds synchronises or special effects or optimization of voices or remixes, and those stuff...
The most important element that a song must have, is deliver a message, is to say something that must be said or the singer want to say, with his voice and with his artistic vision to connect all elements, and deliver something how it must be said.
A perfect example is, "Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin", this is a legendary song, but they don't need to run all chords loud, or put a heavy solo of guitar to send any impact, because everything is just perfect, the letter is good, the synchronise is precise, and the message was been send. A great song is about, send a message.

Yup, they're legendary. =)
Become a rockstar, make his own repertory with success, travel around the world to make tour, sell all tickets on first day and stuff like that... Is REALLY HARD, those guys have work very hard to make their song the best it could be, they've put their spirit and soul into that song... And that's what make something really good. There's nothing more grateful for a singer than make success with his own though and skills, instead of abuse remixes to make a 1 week famous song.
Like everything else, a great band must love what they're doing, instead of think only on money. For example, green day have a lot of potential, some songs has a good latter, but overall they put so much remix to please everybody and sell more copies. The final product they deliver to us is a bit weird to listen, and doesn't feels right. But they're good overall, just not perfect in my humble opinion.
Another thing that make me crazy is the artistic vision, there's absolutely nothing greater than someone who can synchronise all instruments (guitar, drums, piano, singer etc.) to play perfect and also add something unique that only him seen who it could be done. To not mention the purest sense of art which is transmit the message with all colours, put a live into the song, instead song into the picture, it's one step ahead, which only the greatest artists could make. Art is one of most important things to our specie, it tells who we are, our history and our culture, it's like use philosophy, but on a different form.
