birds cannot be immune to earth.

You misread it my friend, only the first phase of the event is near the end:
"The first phase of his great master plan was nearing its final. "
So we may see a second phase, a third phase and so on. Let's just hope we'll get the chance to kill these creatures and stop these daily defenses ;) |
