Author | Enchanters Guild reward |
So we have the Smiths Guild what is quite hard to master, but after one did it, they may ask for a repairing fee over 100%, partially refunding their expenses. Also, with increasing level in the guild, you have to pay less and less to obtain one point in the guild. There is always a need for smiths, as artifacts are constantly used.
On the contrary, Enchanters guild members don´t see any kind of reward for their expenses. Levelling up is really hard, and nowadays kind of pointless, due to the fact that since we are merged with the new server we have max level enchanters for each branch.
My idea is to set a motivation for enchanters to level up. A few proposals:
- While enchanting, not only the enchantments would be the modification. Enchanters could affect the durability or the repair cost of the item. Each enchantment point would reduce the repair cost by 0,2% and increase the durability by 0,2%. This would mean, that a max enchanted (5x12) item would have 12% less repairing cost and 12% higher durability than the original item. This would encourage players to pay to their enchanters, as they spare money with enchanting.
or
- There could be a percentage, like guild levelx1% or branch levelx0,5% for each element the enchanting costs, not to be used up. The spared elements would be kept by the enchanter, giving some kind of reward.
What do you think? | sounds good
+1 | +1 | I don't see the point. The price is set by supply and demand. If the enchanter get something from enchanting, it will almost inevitably be given away as kickback to attract customers.
Your intentions, however are very good. | The point is exactly to alter the supply-demand balance. If the customers get something extra (like the increased durability or reduced repairing cost) then I assume that the demand will increase -> prices as well. |
