Not necessary.
Portal of time is an event where you can build up your own army using crystals.
These crystals are earned when you win against an enemy. The more enemies you've beaten the harder they will get but you'll understand everything tomorrow)

i would love to see the screenshots of the page from where you can recruit those creatures during the PoT event; because i remember seeing them in someone's profile but didn't save them...
