AuthorDefending with the Lord
I think it would be a good idea for when the Lord defends, to make the defense parameter of all troops in the army to go up by 1 (or a percentage or something). Right now, the option to defend with the Lord is very useless.

u can might as well remove the defend ability

then dwarfs,tribal lords will only keep defending to raise higher defenses than the already high defense...
That would make it interesting... I'd say +1

In response to siddi1111, it can be just for that turn or something, just like when you defend with any stack on the battlefield.
well if its only for 1 move
i.e if hero defends
all his troops gain +6 defense
and the neutral/opponent creature attacks heroe's creature
then the creature loses its defense
whereas other creatures which have not moved or attacked or been attacked still have the +6 defense
if it is this way then

Yeah, that works. I think that would be more interesting as otherwise the defense feature is a complete and utter waste.

i agree with removing defend button rather than adding def to troops.

Then clearly you never had to defend instead of wait to put your heroes turn in a more valuable position

Well it looks like a good one since:
- if you defened your hero turn will come back in a full turn instead of half turn of wait (Choice between wait and defend)
- if you defend you can not cast/knock-back enemy (choice between special power and defend)

so, dwarfs will loose their casting turn and tribals will loose their hero great powers. and all know about the other factions

I've also done this once before, but then realise, in such a case, won't choosing a normal hero move will also put the heroes in the same position as if it had defended, but with some extra damage/spell?

The only scenario I can think of is when you want the specific ATB position AND you don't want to hit or use any of the spells, if any (no mana / trying to preserve mana, etc.)
e.g. only enemy left is an apparition stack with 2 misses and you don't have any useful spell to cast, and you are also trying to position your lord according to the nec lord..
Otherwise the lord could've just hit something, or just wait twice to get the same spot, but with the added turn in-between in case something dramatic suddenly happens.

Another reason is to stall and not to deal any damage (like when you try to even out the creature kill in hunt). Waiting would needlessly increase the times you have to hit the buttons.

But then again, it's a little limited. But regardless of how useful/useless I found the current function to be, right now it doesn't have anything to do with 'defending' with the lord.
+1 to adding some defensive effects or change it to a more descriptive name.
even with 1 defense,i still prefer to wait or attack something
its a clear -1 for dwarves wizards and tribals
whereas its a clear +1 for barbarians,elves and demons :)
and for a knight and necro it isnt clear :)
