May I suggest the vault tokens looted in the battle can only be those that you need?
I don't need any fir-tree tokens but got 5 fir-tree tokens straight through more than 10 battles. I doubt anybody can collect all the tokens based on my simple calculation.
There are 28 tokens. The even case, with 7 tokens each type, is the easiest one in theory. Ideally, if the probability works perfectly, it takes exactly 28 token collections to unlock all the vaults in this even case. Each token costs 2 battles, so it would take 56 battles. About 56 battles in three day are expected!
If the 28 tokens for the vaults are not evenly distributed, say the star tokens are the most with a number of 12. Then 12*4*2=96 battles in three days are to be expected! |

I only need 8 more trinket and I only started to collect 4 hours ago. I have 2 useless already. Its good as it is. no need for change |
Consider yourself lucky.
But this is how probability works. What I compute is the number of battles averaged across all the players. If you are the lucky one, expect someone else may suffer. And even for you, these last 8 could cost you the remaining two days.
For me, I have 11 left and 9 useless. My last 9 tokens only give me a single useful one.
If randomness gives more fun, at least consider giving the needed tokens more weights/probability to show up. |
sorry to say but this suggestion appears every time when this event starts. the vault offers us free looted objects. its more like gifts that we get for Christmas. I have like 15 useless trinkets. if we did not manage to open all the vaults, then that's it. its free. sorry if you are offended by this, but let it be this way. i see no reason to change it. |
Oh! come on.
At least let us trade them :D |
Consider yourself lucky.
Im not considering myseéf lucky. its the same every year. more win. more trinkets. have to think where you put it. its a one day event, and you have for it 3+. so if you very unlucky you can still open all. I didn't have a year when i can't opwn up all.
these last 8 could cost you the remaining two days.
nope. I'm done. already have all, opened all |
for Lord spiral-doom:
My useless tokens just caught up with yours. Guess we just have to accept the fact that we are not as lucky as Herko. |
You'd need by average 39.4336 trinkets.
According to (1.2) expression here http://www-irma.u-strasbg.fr/~foata/paper/pub89brother.pdf
Your m is 4 (4 different coupons) and your p is 6 (0 is the starting collector etc and you have 7 different albums - vaults to open). Average case is taken into account, 'cause the expected average player needs the same amount of trinkets to open all his vaults.
Now, you don't receive a trinket every 2 combats, but rather in each combat you have a chance to get a trinket. The chance for trinket to be looted is unknown to me. https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=2285779
There are simpler formulas for the coupon collector problem where you need more than one coupons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coupon_collector%27s_problem#Extensions_and_generalizations), but I don't feel comfortable with Donald J. Newman and Lawrence Shepp formula. My calculations showed non-realistic results, probably I'm doing something wrong, maybe I need to choose a proper logarith base that suits the problem.
Anyway, better go to group battles and look for hunter assistance to gather more trinkets than suggest a change here. I'm neither against or with you, but seeing as previous years similar suggestions were made and the only result we got is to get a chance for trinket loot, means that admins don't feel like supporting us, rather they made it more difficult. (you were looting trinkets in EVERY combat in previous years). |

Just if you win. Like now. But its bugged now! believe me. I get 5-6trinkets without showing it on the battle's end. I didn't see on Survilurgs attack, contest, thief pages, but I still get those trinkets. Its only showed on the vault. Check it next time ;) |
Just if you win
Yes, forgot to mention it. |
