Unfortunately, few players care to use good spelling, which renders GT nearly useless.

Oh, you said "when we compose a PM". I guess that would indeed be helpful. Still, this would save negligible time per message: you can always go to translate.google.com, have your English message translated into Russian instantly, and then copy&paste it into HWM.
If you do have to rely on GT on a regular basis, here are some usage suggestions that will help you get your meaning across more accurately:
1) Use very simple English: short sentences, trivial grammar, no colloquialisms. GT is still a machine with very little intelligence built in.
2) Avoid spelling errors as GT cannot handle those (usually).
3) Have the initial translation back-translated into English to check that GT correctly understood what you're trying to say. If not, make changes to your source English.

Totally agree.
C'mon, we dont even have Text Quests translated to English... Its sad but its a fact: They dont care about .Commers, we arent even 5% of the player base I'd say.
Anyway, +1 for the idea. |

Just like they brought Google Search to the forums(the bottom part), maybe they could find a way to embed Google Translate for translation purpose from Russian to English- just saying.
Im not a developer, so I dont know.:)

| well I learned russian when I was 20 years olds. It took about 2 years to speak fluently. Its possible to learn russian alfabet in few weeks. You can learn basic vocabulary of battles from GB about 300 words. You can reply using latin alfabet(most of russians can read). Extra language might be usefull even in RL |
