Thanks to sound strategy and brilliant execution, Empire’s lightning-fast operation hit the Survilurgs hard where it hurt. So much so that some of their new recruits rushed to battle with the wrong weapons and gear, condemning their armies to a crushing defeat. The victory was easy – maybe even too easy – but the winners couldn’t care less.
While the Empire basked in the glory of its valiant heroes, in a remote place where no light ever shines and everything is woven out of darkness and shadows, a faceless figure entered a murky hall. In the total absence of light, it seemed there was no ceiling or even walls. Only the vague contours of a black throne were barely visible in the distance, standing between two massive columns that seemed to disappear into infinite heights. Another faceless figure sat solemnly on the throne.
“My lord, the Grand Masters have fallen.” The eerie voice of the figure that approached the throne sounded like a dull echo, as if coming from a hollow shell and slowly dissolving into the surrounding dusk.
“I was there to watch it, in person,” the commanding voice answered loudly from the top of the throne, making the very space around it shudder in horror. “But every death only makes them stronger.”
Lords and Ladies, the Survilurg Grand Masters have been defeated and the castles they had camped in to train their armies have been destroyed. The enemy’s evil plans will not come to pass! Your accomplishments are impressive, as more than 7,000 lords and ladies were able to defeat all three Grand Masters! Warlord Grammith thanks you for contributing to this glorious victory. If you have achieved 10 or more victories, look in your inventory for your handsome reward: a new artifact called the Flask of Health. Equipped in the backpack slot, the Flask preserves your army and mana after you lose a battle. If you happen to win the battle with the Flask equipped, its durability does not diminish. This artifact may be used in any and all kinds of battles. The durability of your Flask depends on the number of victories you achieved in this campaign.
Moreover, every Lord or Lady who has brought down at least one Grand Master has been rewarded with an amount of gold equal to [Combat Level during siege] * 500 * [Number of Grand Masters defeated]!
Oh, and this resounding victory over the Survilurgs has already born its first fruit. As battle clans will no doubt notice, Survilurg attacks on facilities have decreased in intensity, and the safe window has widened from 10 to 12 hours. (These changes will take effect within 2 days of this announcement.)
