Tavern drink does work though? |
It seems they have changed one loss neutralising 2 wins to 1.5 wins now according to their http://daily.heroeswm.ru/n/FAQ_Hunting_pirates site.
Looking at the top spots, it is no coincidence that they are dwarfs or have a dwarf teammate, I have seen battles where half of AI is allready killed before a unit of it gets a turn. |
Looking at teh arts a top player was wearing it was all geared to adding iniative ( I think they had around a 30% ini bonus just from arts), combined with dwarves I think the OP tactic is predominantly like this - be a dwarf and make sure your dreadbanes/invokers have a high enough ini bonus to go early, then rune of retribution.
If you imagine one of those from each side before most troops move = carnage! |

That's my plan, except I use the greater signet ring to move first. :D |

so cool :) |
Event ended at 62/84 for me, russians managed 67/84 and one even 68/84 it seems.
And those that lost during the first few days got boogered since a defeat neutralised 2 wins at start and later on got changed to 1,5. That explains why even 66/84 got ranks of admiral while I'm 5 ranks lower as a midshipman with only a difference of 4 wins between us. So thank you admins for being so considerate to your players and being so 'just' in your decisions.
Also lost exactly 107070 gold to play the entire event since none of the matches produced any gold. The outcome of it will determine if I will skip almost all events from now on. |
I'm sorry that this event turned out unlucky for you, Lawton, like I'm sorry nearly every event turns out unlucky for you. :/ |

Lol xD
for Lawton:
Admins have clearly mentioned that events are not a source of gold income, some are coincidentally, but none of them are meant to give you free gold, however they should in general cover some of your playing cost, not all of it.
Also to quote Bill Gates, "Life is not fair, get used to it."
You can't expect everything to go your way ;) |
I got 60/84 playing with my cheap arts, the very same I use to play TG. I got about 300 fsp as DE and Knight, without using the potion of skill. This event was very susscceful to me, and I don't even got the event reward yet, probably an art and some gold. As A. Einstein said (I think) it is all about the referential :) |
I wasn't complaining. I was stating the fact how unjust it is that a defeat neutralised 2 wins later on got changed to 1,5 without any consideration or correction to the players. But I'm used to people overlooking facts like that, not even reacting to it and going for ridicule instead due to their failure to comprehend. |
for Lawton:
Well I do agree with you on that, players who finished their battles early on(and lost a few) got a clear advantage. |
@Lawton, I aslo agree it wasn't fair to change the win/loss rule, but the others were only pointing out that events are completely optional and how much gold you spend (ie how much of the event(s) you play) are completely up to the player :). They did comprehend your statement. |
I didn't play the event but I do agree with how unjust it is that a defeat neutralised 2 wins later on got changed to 1,5 without any consideration or correction to the players. :) |
28/39

Stopped playing after realizing its a massive gold sink when rewards aren't known. |

By that point almost anything has been rebalanced during the game, from hunts, to MG, TG, events where people commonly report a change in difficulty,... Plus the fact that "balance" is very fragile and some factions should have an easier time in one event or another. If you only play for the virtual reward rather than for your own enjoyment maybe there's something wrong.
Besides the difference in rank is probably more due to the fact that when you promote or demote it takes more than one win (or even two in a row) (if you demoted) or loss (if you promoted) to get back to your former rank than the rebalance.
That is not to say that some players are of a more pessimistic nature than others. |
How to let rescued prisoner join next battle ? |
How to let rescued prisoner join next battle ?
There's a drop down menu on the left panel, above your rank if memory serves right. Pick whichever prisoner you want... |
Thanks Slust.
How come I didn't notice it. |
