It’s been a while since Tamer Dark Elves joined the Empire inhabitants above ground. The new citizens have already taken part in multiple military campaigns and proved themselves as reliable allies. On tournament arenas, however, Dark Elves have been challenging to defeat. Accustomed to fighting for survival, they love to tell stories of their own dungeon-style contests. Their tradition commands each contestant to start out separated from his or her teammate, placed in diagonally opposite corners of the battlefield. Both of them must force way towards each other, just as it happens in real caves when your party is surrounded by wild underground beasts.
Deeming such combat exercise beneficial, Warlord Grammith has ordered new arenas to be constructed and prepared for the new Cross-court Contest.
Lords and Ladies, starting today you’re invited to participate in the new contest (with no vanguard scoring)!
1. Battles are waged on a new arena in 2-on-2 format. Please note your opponents and/or your teammates may be AI-controlled.
2. Each pair of teammates starts out separated, placed in diagonally opposite corners of the arena.
3. The battlefield includes magical walls, which may be destroyed. All spells and ranged attacks that pass through these walls deal 50% damage.
4. You need to be of Combat Level 3 or higher to participate in the Contest.
5. Challenges are accepted twice hourly, at :00 and :30 minutes, except for a nighttime break.
6. Only shop artifacts are allowed, and no enchantments take effect.
7. Cross-court Contest will last through October 2.
8. Each player is limited to a maximum of 20 victories per faction.
9. For all contest battles you will receive 1.5x the normal faction skill points, plus CG points unless one or both of your opponents are AI-controlled.
10. Potion of Skill is effective in the Contest.
11. The Empire will generously reward all players who notch at least 1 victory.
12. For 5 or more victories you will receive a special backpack artifact, Warrior Figurine, which may be equipped in contest battles.
13. If you notch 20 victories or more, you will be additionally rewarded at the end of the Contest.
