All Wizard characters also have an increase to the damage they deal with spells to neutral creatures at hunt and on Mercenaries' Guild errands:
in case of direct damaging spells, [final damage]=[normal damage]*(2+[faction skill level])/2;
in case of area of effect damaging spells, [final damage]=[normal damage]*([spell area]+[faction skill level])/[spell area].
This damage increase has no effect with the "Firewall" spell.

By testing, something went against this statement.
1) This damage increase has effect with the "Firewall" spell, the spell damage is increased as [Final damage] = [normal damage] * (3 + fsp) / 3, where 3 is believed to be the 'spell area' of Firewall.
2) This damage increase works differently with the "Meteorite rain" spell, the spell damage is expected to be [normal damage] * (16 + fsp) / 16, but it turned out to be [normal damage] *(4 + fsp) / 4.

What if some other wizards test this out?
Maybe it counts meteorite rain area as number of units hit? Since its damage depends on that number. Just guessing

Hitting one target: normal damage 304, final damage 1140
1140/304 = 3,75

Hitting 2 targets: normal damage 258,4 (per target), final damage 969 (per target)
969/258,4 = 3,75

That's wrong, I tested other area spells, where earthen spikes is 5, ice ring is 8 and fireball is 9. Only the meteorite rain is taken as 4 instead of (should be) 16.
Meteorite rain depends of the number of creatures it affects. The more creatures are caught, lower is the individual damage.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
