Im just planning on min allowed AP and battles as quick as possible. For the first 12 just meat from tier 1 seemed adequate to the task, though a touch slow as all ploddy.

I am planning on a tier 4 build with brawlers, wolfhounds, succubi, griffins, forest keepers and tamed minos should be a bit quicker for the next 12. Eventually aiming for an army that can hit hard enough on the first turn to be able to hit the auto button after one lot of moves. Thats the plan, though those sort of creatures are more expensive this time around than they have been before, so time will tell.

It's wrong
I start wondering - does the strength of the enemy depend on the level of the battle or on the amount of CoT you have collected?

What are the favourites this time around? With about 600 crystals I am going with modern/ lodestone golems, gremlin engineers (who make more golems), grotesqeues, orc shooters.
I so wish this was 1v1. 2v2 takes forever.
I wish they'd put into place something better to keep lower level armies from joining higher ones. The every 5 levels don't seem to be doing it. It can get annoying when one has many wins (more COTs) and have someone join in that hasn't done many (if any at all) battles. Usually doesn't go well. Its like some don't want to grind it out from lvl 1 & have to jump the line. Just venting a bit, I don't mean any disrespect.
Yeap i got 6 losses by randoms who has like 2 battles joining
like 30 griffens 4 monks and 12 wardens @ lvl 15.

Min diamonds is fine but they can still have horrible troop settlement.
thats why you need fixed partner. with fixed partner you can reach top 100.
