That guy is a 'God', or just got blatantly lucky with Match Making.
But I suppose a low-level DD is the best small ally you can have.
... Even CL 6 is enough for Mass Slow/Delay, and Mana steal with Vermins. |

For mixed tournies when you can almost guarantee you will have higher levels I think you are best going for support through mass holy or mass darkness (preference on the latter)
BW and DoF have more limited impact as they are flimsy so you will get wiped out quick, it is also only useful if you have a might partner. Holy similarly is of variable use depending upon partner, whereas mass darkness is always useful - either to delay etc against aggressive might factions, or mass disrupt against magic users. The 50% second cast increases the number of times you can impact the battle with spells so again makes it prefererable to DOF.
DOF is useful as a mid level when you have a bit more survivability, or may be put in an unfair match against a higher level, but with DoF can personally do a fair bit of damage before you get overwhelmed. |
