"Equal fights"

Author"Equal fights"
This is just a post from Maxim on the Russian forum that I wanted to share. Here is google translation:
Under consideration is the idea to conduct several times a day in the GT "equal fights". Such battles imply an equalization in the pumping of characters. If this is a duel, then all the guilds that give the stats, skills, anti-players of the players are leveled up. If this is a mixed HT battle and there are no single-level players, then the guilds that give the stats, skills, and anti-player abilities rise to a certain level above the average.
The essence of the idea is to give a temporary opportunity to play in the GT on equal footing and pumping.
How do you like the idea?

It's from past november so likely not coming anytime soon, but I found the idea interesting - to test strategy only and negate the effects of fsl and guilds.
Interesting..

I know admins are looking at balancing CG (different leagues etc), but I do think it'll be too hard to find "exact" matches like suggested here.
Hmm... this reminds me of the 'naked' or the no armament type of tournaments.
Those tournament i have never played because it only happens in the insight tournament types :|
Oh wait, that also reminds me..... https://prnt.sc/jdltje

But an equal-footing say, minus the equipment being used, is pretty attractive an offer.

Tho i will have to doubt to what degree should it be allowed if it makes people want to focus less on their other guilds because they'll gain the levels/get pumped in those guilds anyways.

Ofc i was assuming it being more of a permanent thing.

But Temporary?
Nothing wrong with just trying it out, right?
I'm all for it.
Yes, it can be good idea to implement for many players, I don't say that I wouldn't try it (it can be interesting to try such fights) but still more I like battles as they are - where you can use your well developed character on which you maybe worked really hard to be above average of PvP players of your lvl.

But if this was implemented, then it can happen that all 'average' or 'below average' players (in term of stats! not in term of their real skills in battles) will do only new format of battles and so in classic CG you will meet only those nasty pumped characters :)) so for pumped players it could be basically the same to do new or old format, they will always meet players with similar stats.
the easiest thing would be to do something in the range of PoT events, giving each player a number of "points" or "units" to spend the way they like on a virtual character that has otherwise no special bonuses.

So for example, you would start with your faction, and have 100 points per level. You could use these points to get tier 1 troops (1xtroop) or tier 2 troops (2xtroop)and so on, or get talents (10Xbasic rings, 20xadvanced rings, and so on); Or get stats, or activate armaments.
Values are just for reference, of course.

All in all, it would give everyone a fair chance at building a character, but starting from the same starting point, without special advantages given by the better build of the account. Then all that would matter are player's skills.

Of course, we can expect that some factions will be advantaged no matter what, but then again it would be just a matter of making small adjustments to the costs (a talent a bit more expensive, or a number of recruits limited, and so on..).
I think it is generally a good move for the majority.

PvP is always going to be the most interesting and diverse battle type. This is dominated by the minority of players with lower stats who have a higher win rate. This is demoralising for weaker players and so takes away enjoyment.

It is good for them to have an opportunity to get involved in that battle type without that fear.

Being only for short time frames this means that those that that have worked hard to give their character an advantage can rightfully use it, though still giving a fair opportunity to all.

They would still benefit from advantage during tournaments which is where it matters the most anyway. It would also allow to play while you just leveled up and lack in guilds/fsp just because you're lacking in exp. I personnaly play nevertheless but it happens to be frustrating (o boring to ignore PvP for months).

I find the idea appealing because when playing an above average account some battles feel like trivial when in fact it's an extra fl level and perhaps a few extra stat points that actually make it trivial rather than actual superior strategy. That would allow everyone to realize the effect of these and if it's actual strategy that is wrong or the character that is too weak.
i like that original idea, then i can finally prove i am a bigger noob then meshy :D
Yes yes yes! I have always hoped we get equal fights. I understand that building your character should be rewarded but now people who haven't built well just can't play. Please do this!
