guess you are renting enhanced arts.
you can rent for quite big numbers from drop down box( as much as that arts normal dura, say 70 for sword etc )
btw, in case renting non-enhanced anything, simply dont, shop lease rates are quite steep ;) |

Maximum number of battles is 20 true. But the real limitation is the 180 day lease, not this number because you can rent multiple sets of same arts as long as it is within your inventory capacity.

Nobody wants to rent artifacts for large number of battles. As you said the rates aren't cheap even if you have to pay only 10% on return of unused arts. |
