When hovering the mouse over the travel compass ,I think it would be nice for it to show how long it would take to travel from one area on the map , to the one adjacent to it
And if player has a mount , and wants to travel over several areas at once , clicking on that area in the map would show how long it would take to travel before actually travelling to said area |

While I do like this idea, another way without resorting to scripts would be if some entrepeneuring player were to create a forum post with all the travel times listed on it.
Or
If they made a spreadsheet on google docs (or similar) that could be groupsourced into filling out the data. |
