Author | ai behaviour - share your thoughts |
One very important knowledge to succeed in pve events and tournaments is to understand the behaviour of the ai-controlled troops. I wish we had a training ground where you could set-up different positions and let ai play, but that won't happen of course. Let's share our knowledge and thoughts here.
A common problem is how to bait enemy. When is it enough with a single unit to lure enemy forward and in what cases will enemy stack stay close to his shooters no matter what you do?
A statement I would like to check is if it is true that ai enemy prefers to stay adjacent to you shooters instead of attacking them if and only if your shooter stack has a chance of killing the unit in retaliation.
There are of course many interesting situations. Share your thoughts! | You are correct with the AI attacking shooters hypothesis I’d say
As for baiting, it is not dependent on how much of a stack you offer in bait, but instead on the capacity of ranged/magic damage the ai has in my opinion, if you are a greater ranged threat or if it is melee vs melee, it will charge to kill even 1 scorpion (inference from LeG battles, needs to be confirmed) |
