Three times in a row against unholy pirate: my first TWO hits on each of the two ghosts missed targets!

Okay. I take this is the signal for reducing the load....
Thanks bp99, I can confirm it is possible to max load and upgrade straight away with no investment in cannons up to and inclusive of the 6tg ship. At least that is where I am at using classic barb. They are getting very tight, but doable

Ship 7, much much harder, you have been warned.

Both fought so far have been able to put confusion on straightaway, which hampers damage output loads. May mean I need a different build/faction from this forward, will only judge when I have faced a few different enemies. Time will tell....
Tried defensive shadow barb with mixed success. Never realised till now that despite having access to spells, have only to a limited level. Had hoped to use confusion to limit impact of shooters, but not available (other than from orcs). Not sure what is the best way forward, very time consuming. May have to duck out of aiming for being competitive just to get the battles done easy. Not worth the time input.

Anyone know of a reliable build once you hit boat 7?
Anyone know where can I find the dynamic of goods?

i opted for a leisurely event completion where I'm playing shooter barb and opting for less than max loads. pirate artifacts are normally not worth much, and the lack of losses are helping my profits, as you don't lose both the price of goods and the use of your equipment

I have 17 hauls till the same point as you, which would give me a total of 10755T

So since I can currently beat 255 (albeit not as consistently as I would like) i think I will still try for a good score.

I don't think I played well so I guess the cavalry is still coming and my rank will drop a lot.
for Arcanide: What level cannon upgrade do you reckon you need to cope with ship 8 enemies? I am assuming it needs to be pretty solid to win these?

I am at around 9-10 for both damage and durability (my build means cannons are in part a distraction to give enough time to nerf their army down, so durability is quite useful, especially since me running high defence means cannons are focused first). I should start saving for the next ship, rather than investing more, but know that if i go up to the next ship too soon, it is gonna be carnage.
I read somewhere to got for damage 13-15 per cannon before going for the 300ish hauls.. I do not play for top so Im gonna go upgrade cannons till 15+ before going max
Is the enemy difficulty based on your ship's level and upgrades, or the silver you earned?

I somehow feel the difficulty seems to spike up when I start to save for the next ship. Three straight losses in a row.
