a new and different way of enhancing weapons and gears

Authora new and different way of enhancing weapons and gears
I was thinking to apply the idea of gems which is known and not new to some of you
so instead of enhancing the weapon you craft a gem to enhance the gear or weapon you want
it will have it's own durability and I can use it on any weapon I want

developers can limit inserting the gems on gears based on it's stats
like defensive gems only to be inserted on armors and shields
offensive on weapons and off-hand
--------
it will give more options of what I want and where to use

I have a feeling this is not going to happen at all but I have to say what's in my mind

this can be improved I just gave the basic idea
I can insert the gem and remove it with a reasonable cost which is something I don't mind

you can craft some rare aspects to apply on gem
for example

- stun a target every 10th hit
- %5-%10 to apply fear on hit

those gems can be limited to be used in whatever the developers wants
Neat, but impossible to balance. (And the balance in game is bad enough already.)
Nah I would say there's no real need for this, ultimately all additional stats that get released are extra costs to be competitive.

Once upon a time you were competitive in commander's guild by buying a set of shop arts. Now you need:

- Money/time spent on watchers guild for the stat points
- Money/time spent on adventurers guild for the stat points
- Money/time spent on leaders guild for the initiative points
- Cost/effort/commitment of joining a military clan for the 3 stat points
- Cost of donation artifacts (cloak of sun, ring of cold etc.)
- Cost of creature armaments
- Cost of potion of skill (this one I can't complain about)
- Cost of alt castles for the resists

(For clan wars its even worse with special sets/enchants)

Gems/mods are just another thing to add to the list
