i will grab griffons first then magi and finally succubi for t4 units. griffons are just tanky, fast and high innit to either bait or get to enemy shooters, magi have no range penalty and through shot so you can hit 2-3 enemies based on their placement and if you bait fast enemy like hell horses into through shot. magi will be a unit in final army i do believe. boars are pretty useless, wish i went rogues and just bit the cost into getting shrews or tarmegants. succubi upgrade has some merit as ricochet shot basically means double damage.
Wild griffons + mistress+ maybe Lizard or vampire for next t4 for me. With free silver we almost don't need sell any trooos
wild griffons are too expensive. lizards are pretty useless since they dont really have much defence. vampire is too expensive as well :P

i would heavily suggest grabbing magi but its up to you
Is there a limit on how many times you can capture same troops?
4 times per unit, 8 times for t7 units
Which unit is better gradmaster bowmen or sharpshooter? Or am I better not upgrading?
I guess ayush I would go with the unit with higher initiative

I am playing shooter build so I'll go with magi succubus as slayer said
elven bowmen are not a final unit in the army i believe. also the upgrade isnt that impactful. orc to orc cheif is 3-4 to 4-6 which is big damage boost and 50% boost to hp for quite cheap as well, so i will upgrade them.

final army for me atm is going to be:
patriarchs(starfire is x3 damage which is insane)
cyclop shamans(10 shots and most damage/hp and potential for blind)
mirage dragons( can have double any other t7 unit and -2 luck/morale is insane)
punishers(relatively cheap upgrade, big damage, 8 speed teleport and the fist turn 1)
battlemagi(through shot is quite insane and in most cases is x2/x3 damage if you know how to manipulate enemies, no range penalty)
eyeless wyverns(very cheap, very tanky, and can sustain by eating corpses to full heal effectively making them unkillable if you play it right)
cerb/vampire counts(need a no retal unit as a win condition vs slow farmer stacks etc)
i had a little bit of a change of heart about vamps, i looked back at my previous dungeon event and i used them there and they were quite good but i may stick to cerb because on t5 day i will have thunderbirds and that allows me to hit turn 1 with cerb and transport them to safety with birds, basically giving them hit and return.

very end game i will replace cerb with stormcallers(if possible) because that reduces enemy range damage by 90%

first unit i will get on t7 will be 8 skel dragon stacks and upgrade to mirage drags and then try to farm 8 stacks of giants to upgrade.

Nice , I am using a shooter army but I think it is lacking...

I have 86 goblin archer , 126 skele bowmen , 160 knight bowmen , 105 boars, 103 sharpshooter , 96 vermins , 126 tempered centaur

I want to upgrade bowmen to wardens but the initiative downgrade prevents me because with -1 ini they will always move after enemy shooters
bowmen are better then crossbow. More inni and volley hitting 3+ units is 150-200% total damage.
