While the Empire immortalizes its past in monumental chronicles, individual corners of its vast lands continue to live with their ordinary stories born of rumors and folk wisdom. Of exiled kings and fallen emperors; of ancient dragons that guard their treasures in the depths of age-old mountains; of forgotten battles undeservedly deprived of mentions in the chronicles. Most often than not, they tell about people in whose acts and destinies others find a reflection of themselves.
Lords and Ladies! We present a small combat scenario of a new format. All willing from combat level 5 can try on the role of the mysterious Gray Knight, who found himself in a difficult but not yet hopeless situation. Live through his story and sharpen his sword against the enemy, and perhaps your tale will become the basis of a legend.
Important notes:
- All Lords and Ladies from combat level 5 may test their luck in this expedition;
- Only shop artifacts are allowed, enchantments have no effect;
- Personal armies and talents are unavailable, you may battle only with the provided troops for the event;
- Important! The character of this adventure has his own combat level while having the parameters of your main character, and that includes parameters from your artifacts and Guild levels. The character's starting level is 1. Experience can be received in any event battle;
- Important! With each level up, the character will automatically increase one of their parameters in strict order;
- Important! Besides experience, the character will also receive faction skill points, increasing their faction skill level, starting at level 0. Each victory yields +1 skill point, and defeats yield +0.5 skill points;
- Faction skill levels at the current story stage provide only additional parameters for troops according to the corresponding experience table;
- Important! Parameters from your main faction skill, anti faction, and from Potion of skill have no effect;
- Important! Upon reaching combat level 5, the character will gain access to a unique wheel of talents and receive 10 points to distribute in it freely. Each subsequent level will be providing additional 5 points;
- Separately, your main character will receive experience as well as skill points for the current faction;
- The main action will unfold across the imperial border expanses. On the campaign map, you can find multiple points of interest with different interaction options: combats, mines, army replenishment, temporary enhancements, quests, and much more. Some points of interest have a cooldown for interacting with them again. If desired, you can enable interactive hints in the event settings;
- To complete the expedition, you have to capture the enemy castle;
- Important! Actions on the expedition map are limited by "event days". Each such "day" represents 3 points of action that can be used to visit points of interest and other interactions. If desired, a "day" can be skipped, however unspent action points are not carried over to the next "day". At the current story stage, after using up all action points the day will be skipped automatically;
- Important! Action points are spent on main interactions: combats, joining of troop detachments, resource or artifact gathering, activation of enhancements and completion of quests. Other interactions like: receiving quests and text or combat information will not use up action points;
- The entire map is immediately available, and 35 'event days' are allocated to complete the main combat scenario.
- Important! The recruited army is always preserved regardless of battle outcomes;
- Important! Capturing the enemy castle is required to enter the leaderboard. Rankings are based on "event days" used and actions taken — fewer is better in both cases;
- You can reset all your progress and start the journey anew once you achieve 5 victories on the map. All enemies, including the leaders, and points of interests will be changed up randomly. You can only reset up to four times. On a reset, it will not be possible to re-acquire already obtained rewards, but the experience and faction skill points received in repeated battles will be reduced by three times;
- Capturing the enemy castle locks your final position in the rankings. Afterwards, an option to continue the event becomes available, allowing you to continue exploring the map without affecting your rank;
to remain on the campaign map to collect the remaining resources (your ranking will not be affected);
- You may participate in the expedition through May 31 inclusively;
- The main battle reward can only be obtained by defeating the Lord of the enemy castle. This reward includes: gold, elements, creature armaments, Mercenaries' and Watchers' Guild points, as well as 3 War Flail parts:
When the event is over, the Empire will bestow additional gold and a memorable achievement to those who have captured the enemy castle. The the sum of gold will depend on your final ranking, the better it is the more generous the reward. There will be no additional rewards not specified in this news.
Extremely important! During this event, the "Battle Exhaustion" system is in effect. Starting from the 15th turn of any battle, the Lords' and Ladies' talents 'Mana recovery' and 'Spirit link' will cease to function. The same will hold for the abilities 'Life drain' and 'Battledive' for the units in the Lords' and Ladies' armies. Additionally, all enemy units will gain the ability 'Attentive', and an increase in initiative and speed. Notifications corresponding to this exhaustion will appear as a warning 1 turn before and at the onset of exhaustion.
