Before the change that made it possible to loan these equipment from depot, you could only collect these gears (by choosing not to profit short-term) and enchant them when you have the means to. This was also when FFAs were frequent, so having them gave you a very noticeable edge in rankings (even if not enchanted).
After the change, along with the stoppage of FFA events, these equipment became extremely expensive to use compared to loaning from depot (high initial cost vs amortised cpb cost from depot loaning).
Now these equipment take up 17 slots in my inventory I know i would never enchant and won't want to use. IMO this request is quite reasonable as it would've taken 100 parts (an 80/80 equipment) to sell 5 parts anyways, which i value more than using for events/WG. |
Whenever an artifact's intended functionality is modified post-release, it is the developers' fundamental responsibility to give players the opportunity to disenchant or disassemble it. If this updated design had been in place from day one, players would not have invested their resources to hoard or enchant these items.
