What a stupid idea.. You should be allowed to play whatever faction you want. I simply chose light based on the image on left. Now i have played 0 combats and apparently i can't play the event because of that choice. |
Seems like admins admitted they completely messed up in this event xD
Okay so now it's just another griffin vs manticore but with specific factions on each side.
I still believe that people who used enchants first day lost a bunch of gold, not fair but oh well what to do, fortunately I only played 4 battles yet so about 12k gold spent there.
Also darn, I was hoping that light will win easily xD Probably Dark will win now, I have a feeling without enchants and without free wins from PvAI it is dark's game now. |

you can play any faction that belongs to a certain camp.

Light players done too many battles compare to dark so its gonna b tough for light side to lead till the end.
This is injustice to light side too :( |

1) Enhancements are not working anymore
2) Total points were defaulted
3) The new count includes only PvP wins |

Nobody plays 100% of the events, so you'll always catch up with the ones who aren't playing this time... and if you don't play the high fsp ratio games, you'll be that much further behind from those who play.
So there's a bit of logic there after all, don't you think? ;)
Also the higher the fsp, the higher exp you get from battles, so that also helps with catching up... |

With regard to the enchantment switch around I had a thought while cycling into work. IT could be that rather than them underestimating how it would cause an inflation in enchantment use that would make people unhappy forcing them to back track, this could in fact be a delberate move. (ie assuming a greater level of compency rather than incompetency.
My thoughts are this - they have just introduced a new alt faction and need to balance it, this requires data the more the batter to make data balanced.
Hence the tournies etc all of which can feed into that. However no data on full enchanted battles, so make em cheap, people make decisions to use them lots - they get data, but then switch it afte a short perioed of time so they can review that, but without it lasting long enough to seriously annoy people.

Perhaps you will not catch up, but then again it will prevent you from falling further behind. If you are someone that plays close attention to your ratios for your character, generally speaking events are a way of converting time and gold into a better ratio. Not getting involved in them saves you time and gold, but will allow the gap between those with better ratios and yourself to widen. It will help you close the gap if you completed every event, as that is the maximum that can be done, and so will allow you to "catch up" on those people that did not do the full event. However if you are significantly peturbed by the gap then use the gold to FSP converters that are WG and campaigns, particularly the latter as they uptake on this has been relatively light. Farming those will allow you to gain parity, though as I said before at the expense of gold and time. |
